The Franklin Delanore Roosevelt Memorial
Located along the Cherry Tree Walk on the Tidal Basin near the Mall, the FDR memorial represents is the memorial to FDR and the era he represents.
The memorial traces through twelve years of American History through a sequence of four outdoor rooms. Each one is devoted to one of FDR’s terms of office.
Among the many sculptures is a 10-foot statue showing him in a wheeled chair and another depicting him riding in a car during his first inaugural.
FDR is most known for the New Deal.
