The Beach

The first week of October I took off of work at mindSHIFT to work on the house and go to the beach.  I still have not updated the pictures, but plan to do put them up this week.  I know it is a bit late, but I have been busy with midterms, work, and life.  I had a great time at the beach, and I’m pretty sure Lionel liked the water.  I’ll let you be the judge when the pictures are posted.

Please don’t be afraid to post a message or drop me a line if I am not updating everything as fast as you would like me to.

I would like to thank Penny and Bob for the wonderful long weekend at the beach.  It was a welcome getaway from work of all sorts (work work and house work).  I enjoyed relaxing and I definitely needed it.  Thank you.

Last Weekend’s Visit

Last weekend Taylor, Harley, and Sammy visited us.  It was a lot of fun.  We watched movies, played at the park, and had ice cream.  I thought it was great time. Click on the picture below to see pictures of the kids at Clemyjontri Park.

Gran

A couple of weeks ago my grandfather died. He meant a lot to me, and will continue to always be there in my memories.

He was a magnificent man and a great grandfather. He was the lawn mower driver, the pink palace museum guide, the golf ball hunter extraordinaire, the constant salesman, the man who knew everybody, and was respected by everyone.

While he may have been difficult at times, he was a loving and honest man that was well respected by the members of his church and the neighbors in his community.

I have a lot of memories with Gran, like taking walks, searching for worms in the backyard, picking persimmons out of the tree, playing cards, going places like Libertyland and Six Flags, and eating pimento sandwiches. My childhood is filled with great memories of Gran, and while he will be thoroughly missed his memories will forever be with me and I appreciate every one of them.

Visitors

This weekend my parents visited, and had a chance to see Lionel.  My mom spent every moment she could holding the little guy, and I think they really had fun just hanging out and spending time with him.  I posted more pictures, one of each of my parents holding baby Lionel.

It was a real blast sitting around and chatting about the neighbors tearing down their tree, going to church, and brunch.

I hope it’s not long before we can visit them in their neck of the woods.
