Gran
July 21st, 2007 by carlton
A couple of weeks ago my grandfather died. He meant a lot to me, and will continue to always be there in my memories.
He was a magnificent man and a great grandfather. He was the lawn mower driver, the pink palace museum guide, the golf ball hunter extraordinaire, the constant salesman, the man who knew everybody, and was respected by everyone.
While he may have been difficult at times, he was a loving and honest man that was well respected by the members of his church and the neighbors in his community.
I have a lot of memories with Gran, like taking walks, searching for worms in the backyard, picking persimmons out of the tree, playing cards, going places like Libertyland and Six Flags, and eating pimento sandwiches. My childhood is filled with great memories of Gran, and while he will be thoroughly missed his memories will forever be with me and I appreciate every one of them.
