Fall 2006 Semester

December 26th, 2006 by carlton

The fall semester has been a hard one.  It was difficult for me to stay focused in some of my classes due to the regular boredom that comes with knowing a fair amount of the material already, but I also have endured my professors lectures, the occasional interruptions from work, and am glad another semester is over.

I hate to say it, but Laura was right.  3 classes in the middle of nowhere is just too much for me.  I had to really fight for my grades while trying to get work done on the house.   Now that it is over, I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off of my shoulders.  The grades are: A- for Networking Essentials, B+ for Intro to Telecommunications, and a B for Advanced Database Management.

Awesome! I know how much you struggled with the commute and boring classes. I got a 3.0. yeah…. we have to get together this summer after the baby arrives and have a ” good for us” party. Are you taking 2 classes next semester? I know you will be super busy with the house and preparing for the baby.
    love ya,

I am taking Religion 100, The Human Religious Experience, and MSOM 302, Managing Information in a Global Environment the next semester. 2 classes, becoming a father, and have a lot of work to do on the house.

Hopefully you won’t be a father until June and you can get the classes out of the way and maybe some house work. The classes sound very interesting. Maybe get the brain working in a different direction.
Different directions are good, even if you get a little lost you will be going somewhere you haven’t been before.
Don’t get too caught up in the house, babies don’t know where they are anyways. Hell they can’t see that far for the first month or so, so don’t sweat it, to a baby it’s all new and wonderful even if it were hanging in a hammock from a coconut tree watching the clouds roll by…life is good. ahhh to be a baby again.

I just need to get all the work on the house done so that we can move into it. There is still a lot of work to get done. I am hoping to get the hallway done this weekend, and be able to move on to finish the living room and bathroom completely.

I would like to be able to get everything moved into the living room and the furniture moved in, the bathroom done and cleaned so there is nothing else I have to do with them.

I still have a lot that needs to be done in the Kitchen, like painting the plate rack Johnnie just installed, putting in the dish-washer, painting the cabinets, installing the electrical outlets and light switches, etc.

If I get the hall and livingroom done and finished and setup, then I only have 2 rooms left to completely redo.
